Now about to enter into its fifth season, The Ben Pauling Racing Club was designed to be a low-cost ‘first foot on the ladder’ of horse ownership and aimed to get members to the racecourse as often as possible, as well as giving them insights into the working of a modern racing yard.
The highlight of last season was The Cob winning the Grade 2 Albert Bartlett River Don novice hurdle at Doncaster in the Club colours.
There are 15 members who lease a horse for the year. Fees are £1,800 per year- paid either as one payment or 12 monthly payments of £150.
