Victory in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes with star filly Rogue Millennium has got her owners dreaming of more success in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville later this summer.
“It seemed like pie in the sky a few days ago but we hope to win a Group 1 with her now and then take her back to Ascot for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in October,” says syndicate manager Tony Elliott.
“She gave her 30 or 40 shareholders a day to remember and most of them were packed into the winner’s enclosure to enjoy the celebrations – they were amazing scenes.”
Among them was broadcaster Rishi Persad who was on duty for ITV and has an intertest in several horses with The Rogues Gallery, a growing syndicate company that has around 26 in training with Newmarket based Tom Clover.
“It was Tom’s first Royal Ascot winner and he deserves plenty of credit for getting her to the race in such great shape,” adds Tony. “She looked a picture in the paddock and we all expected her to run well.
“We’d tried her over longer distances but she didn’t seem to stay but dropping her back to a stiff mile certainly brought the best out of her. If they’d have gone a harder gallop I think she would have won more easily.”
It's one for The Rogues Gallery! 🙌

Rogue Millennium, more affectionately known as Millie to her adoring owners, kept on stylishly to beat the pace-setting Random Harvest by a neck under jockey Danny Tudhope, winning over £133,000 for her shareholders.
It was her first start over a mile following a solid second in the 10 and a half-furlong Group 2 Middleton Fillies’ Stakes at York in May. She was unplaced in last season’s Oaks after winning the Oaks Trial at Lingfield Park.
The four-year-old will face her own sex again in the Rothschild before possibly taking on Europe’s best milers back at Ascot in the autumn.
“After that we might consider sending her to Dubai next winter,” enthuses Tony. “We think the Dubai Turf over nine furlongs could be perfect for her but we’ll enjoy France before we make any longer-term plans.
“We’ve already turned down some big offers for the filly because her owners don’t want to sell. We’re having the time of our lives with her and no one wants the journey to end.”
Rogue Millennium cost just 35,000gns from Shadwell at the December Mares Sale at Tattersalls in Newmarket in 2021and has already won over £230,000. She’s out of Group 3 Cumberland Lodge heroine Hawaafez.
Rogues Gallery Racing is not like most other racing syndicates, this is a non profit making syndicate and is done purely for the love of racing.
