Paddock to Post is an innovative, trainer-led syndicate that allows members to discover what goes into the development and training of young horses. The syndicate will take two beautifully bred National Hunt yearlings ‘Olive’ and ‘Terrence’ on the journey from the paddock to the racecourse and hopefully the winner’s enclosure!
On launching the new initiative, Suzy commented:
“Shared ownership is a fantastic way for people to become involved in the sport at an affordable cost, It opens up a fun, social circle for like-minded people to meet and to enjoy going racing together.
“Paddock to Post is unique because it gives members the opportunity to experience, at first hand, the work and care that goes into shaping these young thoroughbreds’ development into racehorses. It affords a relationship with the horses through their lives that extends beyond the mere ‘snapshot’ offered by more conventional syndicates – it will really cater to people with a true love of the animals.”
The syndicate is for 20 members, who will have a share in both horses: Olive, a yearling by Masterstroke out of Aimigayle, and Terrence a yearling by Jack Hobbs out of Strike The Flint
Over the first two years, there will be yard visits to see the horses grow and develop, a trip to Newmarket to tour the National Stud and visit the National Horseracing Museum, and a private box and lunch at the races. Once the horses are in full training, there will be visits to the yard to see the horses on the gallops, and then of course, all the excitement of the races, the Owner’s badges, being in the Parade ring and cheering your horses home!
There will be several open mornings held over the next month or so into the new year – get in touch with Suzy to find out more: [email protected] / 07979550828 or Kate: [email protected] / 07732493610
