Racecourse Ownership Days: Win A Share In A Racehorse
1st September 2022
In The Paddock are offering the opportunity of a lifetime as part of our Ownership Day series, the chance to become a proud Racehorse owner absolutely free of charge.
The winner of our competition will become the owner of an exciting 5-year-old bay gelding. CASTLEWARD ran out a very impressive winner on his point-to-point debut and has recently joined Ditcheat based trainer Paul Nicholls as part of a new Middleham Park Racing syndicate formed this year.
CASTLEWARD was purchased at the Punchestown Sale by bloodstock agent Tom Malone and was purchased for the same precise cost, from the same precise same sale only 12 months ago where CONSTITUTION HILL was purchased. The similarities don’t end there, both Castleward and Constitution Hill showed such speed in their respective P2P’s that a drop back in trip from 3m could bring about further improvement.
He is by top sire Notnowcato and out of a half-sister to the remarkable dual-purpose performer Clondaw Warrior, a former pointer that went on to win at Royal Ascot and be Grade 1 placed over hurdles for Willie Mullins.
This is the highest rated point-to-point horse Middleham Park Racing has ever offered and he has settled into life with Paul Nicholls who can’t wait to see him run this jumps season.
