Royal Ascot winner Rogue Millennium was purchased for just 35,000 guineas and after a successful racing career has sold for 1,650,000 guineas.

Trained by Tom Clover for The Rogues Gallery syndicate, Rogue Millennium won three of her 14 starts, including the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. She was also placed at the highest level when finishing a creditable second in the Group 1 Matron Stakes.

The Rogues Gallery syndicate was founded by long time racing enthusiast and owner Tony Elliott with the aim of broadening engagement with Shared Racehorse Ownership, stating “this is a non profit making syndicate and is done purely for the love of racing”.

After the sale, Tony commented:

“She was never bought to run, she was actually bought to breed from, but she showed a little bit at home, so we went from there and the rest is history really, she’s taken us on a fantastic journey. She’s such a beautiful horse. I start welling up when I’m talking about her.

“We’ve got people from all walks of life, multi-millionaires that do it as a bit of fun to steel workers that are on seven nights a week. It’s just incredible – it’s a family“.
